I love this film so much!

But one thing that has always thrown me....for the past 20 years now.

What is Bastian's mother's name? The bit at the end where he has to save Fantasia by giving the Empress a new name, and he gives her his late mother's name.

It sounds something like Mona, Maria, or Moon Child even?

Can anyone solve this mystery?
