I can't believe there's no entry for Carol Ferris or Star Sapphire in http://www.worldsofimagination.com/c...%20Lantern.htm ! Carol took over the Ferris Aircraft from her father, Carl, in Showcase #22 (Sept-Oct 1959) "Secret of the Flaming Spear." In addition to the other obstacles in the way of Hal Jordan romancing her (she was his boss, he had to disappear to become Green Lantern), she fell under the influence of the Zamarons (in Green Lantern #16 (Oct 1962)) and developed a villainous alter ego, Star Sapphire.
